Encouragement Guardrails

Just as a car needs the protection of guardrails so it won't go over the edge, so we need techniques that protect us when life threatens to derail us.

What guardrail protection do you have in place? Sometimes the restraints come from friends. KB Hathaway says, "There is nothing better than the encouragement of a good friend."
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who
falls and has no one to help him up!"

When the safety of the fence fails do you know what to do next? Sometimes our burdens might be too much for others to bear.
Sometimes it's a journey each must make on his own. At some point, our feelings, our depression, our grief must be our own. Sometimes we know what others feel and sometimes we do not.

The Psalmist, full of feeling, cried out in chapter 73, "Whom I have I in heaven but you? You are the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
God, the ultimate guardrail, can always handle our heart.
