Encouragement From An Old Friend

Do you ever wonder if you can make a difference in your friend's life? How about an old friend?

This is an amazing story about what a simple note in the mail, from an old friend- who really wasn't sure if she was, but took the risk anyway-can do to encourage someone to reach for the finish line and win the race.

Then the story comes full circle and the encourager gets rewarded. It doesn't always work that way, but when it does, it's inspiring to know that sometimes good people win.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "It's one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."

How true.
